Maintenance Technician – Food Manufacturing

Programmed Skilled Workforce is seeking an experienced casual Maintenance Technician to support a food manufacturing site in Geelong. This role suits technicians who can work independently and adapt quickly in a fast-paced production environment.
This position is Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 2:15pm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults on production and packaging equipment

  • Respond to breakdowns to minimise downtime and product loss

  • Complete scheduled preventative maintenance (PPM)

  • Support changeovers, minor modifications and improvement works

  • Accurately record maintenance activities and report emerging issues

  • Work collaboratively with production teams to restore equipment safely

Safety & Compliance

  • Adhere to food safety, GMP, hygiene and site standards

  • Follow OH&S procedures including LOTO, permits and isolations

  • Maintain a clean and compliant work area

Skills & Experience

  • Mechanical and/or electrical trade qualification

  • Experience in food manufacturing, FMCG or similar industrial environments

  • Strong electrical fault-finding and mechanical troubleshooting skills

  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision

  • Strong safety and compliance awareness
